Q & A
Q: How much fur do you need to create this? How do we get it to you?
A: A sandwich size bag of fur (.25 ounces) would be plenty, the more the better. Even if you have a very limited amount, Melitta can work with what you have. Once the order is placed you will be sent the mailing instructions for your fur. Any remaining fur will be sent back with the order.
Q: How is the fur pendant made?
A: A pendant can be made in a frame (bezel) or free form and wire wrapped. Each style uses a special process for forming, hardening and sealing to protect the fur.
Q: What is your turnaround time?
A: Four to six weeks, but you will receive a more detailed estimate at the time of purchase.
Q: How is the portrait done and what resolution images do I need to do this?
A: Julianne Black uses the photo you send and digitally paints your pet and then it is printed onto wood. The bigger and clearer the picture, the better! Send the best you have and almost always we can make it work.
Q: Where do I send my photo?
A:We will contact you with handling of the photo and the fur when you place your order.
Q: What sizes is the finished product available in?
A: The portrait options are:
6X6 w/ stand
* If you have something special in mind, let us know. We will be glad to work with you to make it happen.
